On Friday the Texas Governor, Greg Abbott, started preparing an executive order to get businesses back to work.
“Next week, I will be providing an executive order talking about what will be done in Texas about reopening Texas businesses,” Abbott said Friday. Adding that economic activity will resume “in a way that will be safe for that economic revitalization.”
Gov. Abbott is the first governor to start laying out a plan to get his state back to work. “We will focus on protecting lives while restoring livelihoods. We can and we must do this,” said Abbott.
On March 19th Gov Abbott closed certain business such as bars, restaurants and gyms on March 19th. One of the biggest questions that was not being answered was “how long is this going to last?”
If you listen to any of the mainstream news, or the talking heads on the left, you would hear that it is evil and uncaring to even think of the economy in a time like this. President Trump mentioning opening the economy back up drew scorn from Nancy Pelosi, she said “You can’t do this, it is only going to make matters worse if you go out too soon.” We’ve heard no real timelines from those on the left for when we should open the economy back up.
With the IHME COVID-19 model significantly decreasing the projected devastation that the US is going to see from COVID-19, it is time to start finding ways to open the economy back up and allowing people to be able to start earning money and supporting their families.
